 General

  • First, book a complimentary discovery call so we can discuss your content needs and timeline. After the discovery call, you’ll receive a production contract, an invoice for a booking deposit, a link to book a strategy call before the shoot, and a calendar invite to confirm shoot date and location.

    Your booking is confirmed once we receive the signed contract and booking deposit. You are then required to book your preferred location and provide us with the address. We can make location suggestions based on your preferences too. Let us know if you need help! ☺️

  • Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a link to book a strategy call.

    A strategy call will be held via Zoom prior to the shoot to go through a brand questionnaire, your content goals, target audience, required shots, props, etc. We highly suggest our clients create a moodboard prior to the call using Pinterest, Canva or Google. Or in the case of video, have a few links to other videos that inspire them. This will give us visual inspiration and better direction during the shoot to ensure authentic photos and videos are captured to your liking. Shoot logistics (where and when) will also be confirmed during the call.

    During the shoot, bring whatever you need to feel comfortable and on-brand - props, music, coffee, wine… it’s up to you!

  • Instead of just booking a single shoot and getting a few photos for the month, why not cover your butt for the entire year?

    Our packages are a great option for businesses that want to post often and have multiple planned campaigns for the year, but don’t have a consistent vendor to create the content.

    Our content packages combine photography and video production, providing you with a wide range of content over the course of a year. You’ll never have to worry about what to post or send out again!

  • As long as it’s within our offered skillset and services, we can work with our clients to create a content package customized to their needs. Book a complimentary discovery call and we’ll see what we can do!

  • Dom Productions accepts Interac e-Transfer, credit card and Paypal as payment for all services. Interac e-Transfer is preferred.

  • Dom Productions charges a 13% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) on all services conducted in the province of Ontario.

  • Yes, we provide receipts for all payments made.

  • Ask about our exclusive pricing for solopreneurs, registered charities, and BITS alum during your discovery call!

  • Unfortunately, we don’t own a studio. You are required to find and book your preferred shoot location and provide us with the address. We can make location suggestions based on your preferences too. Let us know if you need help! ☺️

  • Dom Productions services the Greater Toronto Area at no additional charge. This includes Toronto, Ajax, Clarington, Brock, Oshawa, Pickering, Scugog, Uxbridge, Whitby, Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton, Oakville, Brampton, Caledon, Mississauga, Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Georgina, King, Markham, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, and Whitchurch-Stouffville. Locations outside of these cities will be subject to a travel fee.

  • Currently, our packages only include one location per shoot. However, we can quote you for additional travel and time if your shoot requires going to more than one location.

  • Yes! We’ve shot at many locations throughout the Greater Toronto Area and can make suggestions based on your needs. However, it should be noted that clients are responsible for finalizing/paying for the booking of the location, unless otherwise agreed upon.

  • If for some reason (including, but not limited to, injury, illness, COVID restrictions, technical limitations or inclement weather at shoot location), you or Dom Productions needs to reschedule the shoot, we will work with you to pick an alternative date that works for both parties. If an alternative date cannot be agreed upon within two months from the original shoot date, the booking deposit will be forfeited to Dom Productions with no refund.

  • Cancellation of any service booked with Dom Productions is not permitted once we receive a signed production contract and a booking deposit or package payment. In the event that you need to cancel your shoot and can’t reschedule, past payments are non-refundable.

  • Proof of insurance can be given upon request.

  • Dom Productions uses a variety of equipment to achieve the best quality content for your needs. For more information, shoot us an email!

    A shoot with Dom Productions should be laid-back, relaxed, organized and FUN. No pressure. No judgement. No stress. With this in mind, we’ve found it’s easier to achieve authentic content that really speaks to your audience, so you can show up and show out! We also understand that a lot of people may get nervous in front of the camera. That’s why we’ll never pressure you to go too far out of your comfort zone. (We’ll probably ask you to fake laugh a few times though!)

    During the shoot, we encourage you to bring whatever you need to feel comfortable and on-brand - props, music, coffee, wine… it’s up to you!

  • Yes! During our strategy call prior to the shoot, we discuss things like the concept, the purpose and goal of the photos/videos, your target audience and more. We ensure to note exact shots that are necessary to the shoot as well. With that information, we can create a loose shot list that we can follow during the shoot.

  • Of course! We generally offer basic direction on set (poses, tone, body language, hand placement, etc.). But we also understand that being in front of the camera can be intimidating for some. We’re more than happy to offer more or less direction if you ask!

  • Depending on the breadth of the project, there may be more than one crew member on set. In that case, we will notify you in advance.

  • Whatever makes you feel most comfortable, beautiful, and authentic! Bright colours, muted colours, animal prints - whatever you consider “on-brand”! We can also make suggestions based on your strategy call and the shoot location. We generally recommend having 2-3 outfits for a Quick Photo Shoot, and 6-7 outfits for a Half-Day Photo Shoot.

  • Dom Productions owns the copyright to photos and footage captured at all shoots. Photo and footage ownership generally comes at a premium price as we are handing over the copyright to our work and giving the client free range to use it and/or edit it as they please.

    If a client chooses to purchase copyright to the photos and/or footage captured at their shoot, this means they are free to use, sell and manipulate the photos and/or videos however they deem fit, because they own them. Clients who purchase the copyright to their photos usually purchase it because they want to sell the photos to publications, use them on packaging for products they’re selling widely, or re-edit for future use, amongst other things. Or they want to post them or feature them places without feeling obligated to attribute the original owner, Dom Productions.

    A good example of this is one of our clients who was asked to submit photos to a local magazine. They didn’t purchase copyright but told the magazine to credit Dom Productions under the photos. Or another client who used our photo on their book cover – they credited us in the book.

    If a client does not purchase copyright, Dom Productions still owns the photos and/or footage, but the client is free to post them on social media, their website, or other online portfolios. Clients are asked to attribute the photos and/or videos to the owner, Dom Productions, (i.e. tag us!), or ask for express written consent to post without attribution.

    Dom Productions grants our clients permission to make copies of content produced if for personal or commercial use. Sale, publication or any commercial use of any content produced for the client is allowed, though the copyright of photographs, words and videos remains with Dom Productions as we maintain full intellectual property rights to all photographs, write-ups and videos produced for our clients. If you do require full copyright of your content, please let us know.

  • The final files are generally delivered via a Google Drive link in JPG or MP4 format (unless otherwise asked), with the option to download whenever you please.

  • All client files are kept in our cloud storage for four years after project completion.

Photo Services

  • After the shoot, we will send you all the shots taken within ten business days. You’ll receive a link to a gallery where you can select your favourites from the set. Once you’re done making your selection, we’ll start editing your photos!

    You’ll receive versions of your final photos in both full-resolution and Instagram-size within ten business days, available to download via Google Drive.

    Upon receiving your final files, you’ll also get an invoice for the remaining payment balance.

  • Additional photos are available for purchase at the following rate:

    • 5 additional photos: $70

    • 10 additional photos: $120

    • 20 additional photos: $200

    • 50 additional photos: $400

    • 100 additional photos: $600

  • We aim to keep our edits as natural-looking as possible, with minimal retouching. However, if you wish to request extensive beauty retouches on specific photos (teeth whitening, multiple blemish removal, hair colouring, etc.), we would be happy to accommodate your request at a premium fee.

  • To protect the integrity of our work, we currently don’t offer raw files to clients.

Video Services

  • After the shoot, we generally send you the first cut of your video(s) within 15 business days. We use frame.io for our video sharing and feedback. This platform allows you to leave comments and edit requests directly on the video. You can also share the link with any team members/stakeholders.

    Once you have completed feedback and let us know via email, we make any requested changes (if any), and send the second cut to you within five business days. Additional edit requests after the second cut are $100 + HST per round.

    Upon receiving your final file(s), you’ll also get an invoice for the remaining payment balance.

  • You bet they do! From concept, to script and location scouting, to filming and editing - we’re your video dream team!

  • During our strategy call prior to the shoot, we discuss things like the video concept, the purpose and goal of the video, your target audience and more. With that information, we can provide you with loose talking points that we can follow during the shoot.

    Or, if your service/package includes scriptwriting (or you’ve paid additional for it), we create a script after our strategy call and share it with you via Google Docs for feedback/collaboration.

    Once the script is solidified, we can also load it into our teleprompter (additional fee).

  • No problem! Our packages allow you to choose either one video or multiple videos! For example, instead of a 60-second video, we can create two 30-second videos! Or three 20-second videos! That last option is great if you want high-quality videos for Instagram Reels or TikTok.

  • To protect the integrity of our work, we currently don’t offer raw footage to clients. If you need a specific clip or set of clips, please let us know!

  • Yes! Our lead content producer, Monique, started her career as a content producer, filming and editing videos for a fintech corporation ☺️ Here’s an example of a video we created for a corporate client. You can also check out more of our past work here.

  • For sure! We’ve worked on video courses for businesses in the past and can provide examples on request. This would be a custom quote though. Contact us or book a complimentary discovery call for more info!
